Each header row in the Omniverse Header Builder contains three columns. You can control how these columns share space by selecting one of the available column width layout options.
These layout settings help you organize header elements properly and maintain a balanced design.
Flexible Middle Column (Default) #
The Flexible Middle Column layout is the default option for all header rows.
How it works: #
- The left and right columns adjust their width based on the elements placed inside them.
- The middle column automatically expands to fill the remaining available space.
When to use it: #
This layout is ideal when:
- The logo is placed in the left column
- Icons, cart, or additional elements are placed in the right column
- The main navigation menu is placed in the middle column and needs maximum width
This setup creates a natural and responsive header structure.
Equal Left and Right Columns #
The Equal Left and Right Columns layout keeps the left and right columns equal in width.
How it works: #
- The middle column takes only the width required by its content.
- The left and right columns automatically expand equally to fill the remaining space.
When to use it: #
This layout is useful when:
- You want a perfectly centered element (such as a logo or menu).
- Balanced spacing on both sides of the header is required.
For example, if a 150px logo is placed in the middle column, it will stay that width while the side columns expand evenly.
