HTML Blocks are a custom post type that allows you to build reusable templates and place them anywhere on your website using shortcodes, widgets, or theme options.
With HTML Blocks, you can create:
- Individual elements
- Full templates
- Landing pages
- Popups, banners, and dynamic sections
These blocks can then be inserted anywhere a shortcode or widget is supported.
HTML Blocks are fully compatible with WPBakery Page Builder and Elementor.
Creating an HTML Block #
HTML Blocks are created like regular posts:
Dashboard → HTML Blocks → Add New
Where You Can Use HTML Blocks #
Below are common use cases and locations where HTML Blocks can be applied in the Omniverse Theme.
Header Builder #
HTML Blocks can be inserted inside the Header Builder using the HTML Block element.
This allows you to add elements that are not available by default in the Header Builder, such as:
- Popups
- Custom icons
- Countdown timers
- Custom buttons or banners
Mega Menu #
Mega Menus extend the default WordPress dropdown menu by allowing rich content such as:
- Promotional products
- Images and banners
- Styled menu items

Appearance → Menus → Select Menu → Choose Menu Item → Assign HTML Block from dropdown
Age Verification Popup #
HTML Blocks can replace the default text-based age verification message and include:
- Images
- Banners
- Buttons
- Custom layouts built with WPBakery or Elementor
⚠️ When inserting an HTML Block via shortcode, consider the Text Color Scheme option, as it affects the block’s content colors.
Main Footer #
Depending on the footer layout selected in:
Theme Options → Footer
You may have one or multiple footer columns, each capable of displaying different HTML Blocks such as:
- Newsletter forms
- Contact information
- Google Maps
- Bestsellers or featured products
HTML Blocks can be assigned via:
Appearance → Widgets → Omniverse HTML Block Widget
They can also be placed in any sidebar.
Responsive Footer Layouts #
HTML Blocks allow different footer layouts for desktop and mobile using:
- WPBakery responsive column visibility
- Separate blocks for different devices
Pre-Footer Area #
Theme Options → Footer → Pre-Footer Area
- HTML Before Footer – Used for brand carousels, promotional blocks, or service highlights (delivery, payment, support, etc.)
Text Next to Copyright #
Theme Options → Footer → Text Next to Copyrights
This option is commonly used to insert:
- Language switchers
- Currency switchers
- Shortcodes
- Popup triggers
Empty Cart Content #
Theme Options → Shop → Empty Cart Text
Add extra elements to the empty cart page such as:
